Family Owned
My name is Marisa Goldberg, founder of Space to Create, officially established in 2022. The concept of our family owned business was born in 2020, when I left my full-time job to stay home with my two kids. Since they could not be in school, I decided to commit to creating an environment for them at home where they could do hands on learning and skill development while having fun and just being kids. I did research every night on art and sensory activities for kids, I bought supplies, and each day I created a new and exciting art/sensory activity for them. During a time when I felt scared that my kids would fall behind, or I would not do a good job as a stay at home mom, I was blown away by the positive response I got from my kids with each new activity I created. They began to learn and practice essential skills, like fine motor skills, problem solving skills, communication skills, and even impulse control. The activities often took on a mind of their own as the kids began to explore their own imaginations with the supplies I put in front of them. During that time with my kids, I discovered that I LOVED creating these activities, gently guiding them, and watching them grow and develop their own creative minds. Enter Space to Create. I got so much positive feedback from friends and family about the activities I was doing, I decided to create a business so other kids can experience the happiness and joy of freely creating and exploring their imaginative and creative minds. Activities
I provide an outdoor space in my backyard where kids (and parents) don't have to worry about making a mess while exploring arts & crafts. After all, kids need space to paint outside the lines, spill, get their hands dirty, and get a little messy, while exploring their creative abilities! I provide age-appropriate art/sensory activities that are guided by me, and I encourage the kids to explore their own creative ideas with the art supplies provided. I also provide these activities at your home if you prefer. I have lots of tricks to keep messy art contained:) Space to Create specializes in Birthday Parties! Make sure your next birthday party or special event includes some fun art and crafting.
